The word Ch'ai is comprised of the Hebrew letters Chet and Yod attached to each other. Often translated as "life", some say it refers to the Living God. Judaism as a religion is very focused on life, and the word Ch'ai has great significance. A typical Jewish toast is L'chayim (to life). Also, gifts to charity are routinely given in multiples of 18, which is the numeric value of the word Ch'ai. This Chai pendant was custom designed and is crafted in solid 18k gold.
