Jul Lea PendantJul Lea took one look at this turquoise and just had to have it. Mined in Kingman, AZ, it has a mix of fine teal blues and hints of green with marbled deep earth tones. I was given great latitude on the design and chose to add a blue sapphire for some color contrast. The pendant itself is a solid rectangular tablet with deep surface grooves, giving it the sense of being a rough hewn slab of stone. Finally, I selected this articulated hand-tooled setting technique for the gemstones, which is in keeping with the spirit of the piece.
