The stone in this pendant is a very interesting colorless quartz specimen (also known as rock crystal), which has prominent needle-like inclusions of titanium oxide, or rutile. The thick, reddish-brown needles project through the gem at different angles, providing a frozen glimpse of the unique environment present during the mineral formation process.
