Shamy Designs Policy Information

For custom orders, a deposit of 50% of the quoted price is due once the design is finalized and agreed upon. Initial deposit payments may be made by personal check, certified check, money order, wire transfer or with a credit card via PayPal or Google Checkout.

Full payment is due prior to pickup or shipment of all items. Final payments must be made with verified funds (cash, certified check, money order, wire transfer or with a credit card through PayPal or Google Checkout). If you wish to pay by personal check, the funds must be received in time to clear processing.

Please note - Prices listed for loose diamonds are for payment in check or money order. There is an additional processing fee of 3% for payments via Google Checkout or PayPal.

Current law does not require me to collect sales tax on items shipped out of New York State. New York City residents must pay 8.875% sales tax, and residents in other New York locations must pay the appropriate tax rate for their jurisdiction.

Orders are normally shipped 2nd Day Air with a commercial common carrier (UPS, FedEx or DHL). High value items (over $10,000) are shipped Overnight, whereas low value items (up to $500) may be shipped via USPS with delivery confirmation, but with no package tracking. All shipping and handling costs include insurance coverage. See the chart below for sample rates:

All items on this site are offered subject to prior sale. In the event that an item has been sold, I will remove it from the site as soon as possible.

Listed prices for jewelry and gemstones are subject to change due to market conditions, commodity prices or other factors. For the most current price on an item, please inquire via email or telephone.

For ready-made pieces I will gladly refund the full purchase price within ten days, less shipping costs. This applies to purchases of any item I have in stock, including loose gemstones and finished jewelry that is not custom made for you.

A custom designed piece is considered to be a commissioned work. Price estimates for custom orders are subject to change if the design or materials alter during production. Final prices for completed pieces can vary up to 20% from the last price estimate given, depending upon increased metal, gem or labor prices or other unforeseen costs. If an order is cancelled prior to completion, a portion of the deposit may be retained to cover costs for labor and expenses incurred. Once completed, a sale is considered final. Rest assured that I will go to great lengths to insure that you are happy with the final product.

I retain all copyrights for this site, my jewelry, designs, sketches, photographic or other images, and all written material. At my discretion I may restrict reproduction on certain pieces, which will be denoted 'One of a Kind'. However, certain design elements from One of a Kind pieces may be incorporated into future items. This is the nature of art.

All personal information, including your telephone numbers, physical and email addresses, is kept and used exclusively for the purposes of conducting regular business or informing you of special offers and promotions. It will never be sold, given or used by any third party, except if necessary to comply with legal authorities. If you wish to be removed from my email or regular mail list, simply email me (tom@shamydesigns.com) with the words 'please remove' in the subject.
