These wedding bands were designed to represent a strand of DNA wrapped around a finger. Needless to say, they presented a technical as well as a design challenge. Each section had to contain four evenly distributed cylindrical cross-bars. The serpentine form of the double helix was required to be of uniform thickness, and the twist pairs had to be scaled to meet perfectly so that the proper ring sizes could be attained.

I first designed the rings on paper, then digitized the image. Finally, a 3-dimensional computer model was created from which the final rings were executed. Like DNA, these rings are truly unique.
